Also the divan base is North to South as you can see in the image. This gives you and your partner individual comfort and support. The Millennium base can either be a pocket sprung with more than 1,000 nested pocket springs for extra comfort and individual support. Two rows of heavier springs around the divan edge prevent roll-off. This version is perfect if you like more cushioned comfort. The second Millennium divan base option is a sprung timber slatted divan. You have the option of an additional comfort layer beneath the mattress, this gives more firmness than the pocket sprung divan base. You are able to adjust the lumbar region slats to achieve the level of firmness to suit you. Dunlopillo recommend using their mattresses with a Dunlopillo divan base. If you only want the mattress to get the full benefits please ensure that the base is good quality and provides proper ventilation and support for the mattress. Do not use a solid plywood or hardboard base or place these materials under the Millennium mattress – condensation may build up through lack of ventilation causing deterioration on the underside of the mattress. The Millennium bed comes complete with a range of storage options including the 4 drawer continental which uses two half drawers at the head end for use with bedside tables. The divan bed rests on castors while the mattress is side stitched for added strength and has turning handles for aid movement of the mattress.
